  • Where do I stand?

Only a decade ago we would think of our “environmentally conscious friend” as being a little bit absurd.

Adopting measures such as using only bamboo toothbrushes, no plastic bags, carrying around their personal coffee mug, etc. was looked upon as somewhat extreme.

Today, considering all the scientifically proven information about the toxic effects that plastics have on all living things, we certainly believe that making environmentally conscious decisions is vital.

Then again, the time has come to wonder... Where do I stand?

Everywhere around I see huge amounts of plastic waste. Do I stop and do something? Or do I look the other way?

Whenever I buy a new sweater, apart from checking the price tag, do I read the label to check its composition ?

Many of us have started to take a closer look at what we eat. Do we take some time to think about what we wear?

Do I stand-alone? Or do I stand in a world where my children’s children will be able to live?

We now know for a fact now that change is permanent. Either we change and adapt or we perish. Companies that are unable or unwilling to become aware of their negative impact towards our environment may perhaps be compromising their very own survival.

Where do I stand As A Consumer?

Consumers have come a long way. Demands on nutritional information of what they eat, fair wages for workers in the fashion industry were only the beginning. Sustainability, environmental consciousness and circularity are key players in this new game where wool has naturally all the advantages. It is time to step forward and take action.

Compared to the hectic, compulsive, economy driven fashion industry of the past, this new global scenario, which shows consumers increasingly committed with the environment, certainly represents good news and hope for wool manufacturers worldwide.

Wool not only is a Natural fibre. Wool garments last longer, age better, will most probably live on through resale and are biodegradable. In other words, wool is sustainable and circular. Wool follows the rhythm of nature.

In Engraw we process this natural, sustainable
and circular fibre and furthermore, we use 98% renewable energy in this process.

We musWe must take control of the impact our consumer choices have. This global crisis has given us time to reflect upon our decisions and its consequences.

The time to change is NOW. Don’t just stand passive. Take action!

Choose nature. Choose Wool.
